PAINTING CONTRACTORS
Websites for painters, built around the work you can show.
Painting is one of the few trades where the customer can judge the result at a glance. That is a gift, and most painting websites waste it. We build yours so the before-and-after does the selling.
Your photographs are the pitch
A homeowner choosing a painter is doing something simple: looking for evidence that their house could look like that. Everything else on the page, the copy, the credentials, the process, exists to support the photographs rather than replace them.
So the build starts with how the work is shown:
- Before-and-after pairs, not a random gallery. The comparison is what lands. A grid of finished rooms with no reference point does much less.
- Grouped by job type. Interior, exterior, roof, cabinetry, commercial. People want to see their job, not all your jobs.
- Fast-loading images. Painting sites die on page speed because the photos are enormous. We size them properly so the page still opens quickly on a phone.
- Captions that say something. Surface, finish, suburb. It reads as real work rather than stock.
What a painting site needs beyond the gallery
- Interior painting, room by room where it helps
- Exterior and weatherproofing, including render and cladding
- Roof painting and restoration, if you do it
- Cabinet, door and trim spraying
- Wallpaper removal, plaster repair and prep work
- Commercial, strata and rental turnarounds, if you take them
- Your service areas, named properly
We also make the practical questions easy to find, because they are the ones that decide whether someone contacts you: do you move furniture, do you do the prep, what paint brands do you use, how long will you be in the house, and do you give a written quote after a walkthrough.
Colour and readability, done properly
One specific thing we check on every painting site, because it is embarrassing when it goes wrong: text contrast. A painting business site often uses colour heavily, and it is very easy to end up with headings that sit too close to the background to be read at all, especially on a phone in daylight.
Every page gets checked for readable contrast before it goes live, on desktop and mobile. If a colour choice makes the copy hard to read, we change it rather than shipping it.
Send us your best before-and-after pairs when you reply to the demo. They will do more for your enquiries than any wording change we could make.
What it costs
$497, one payment. No monthly fee from us, no retainer, no hosting bill from us. Your domain and hosting are paid to your own providers, and the files are yours.
You see the finished site as a working demo before paying anything. Decline it and you owe nothing.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Painting website questions.

sarah@localsitehero.comI have hundreds of job photos. Can you use them?
Send your best before-and-after pairs rather than everything. Fifteen strong pairs, grouped by job type, will do more than two hundred mixed shots, and the page will load faster.
Can the site show the paint brands I use?
Yes, if you want it to. Some painters prefer to stay flexible. We will only name brands you tell us you actually use.
Do you build for commercial painting as well as residential?
Yes. They usually work best as separate sections, because a strata manager and a homeowner are looking for very different things.
What if my photos are only on my phone?
That is fine and normal. Email them and we will size and place them. Phone photos in good daylight are usually perfectly good for a website.
Is there a subscription?
No. One payment of $497 for the finished site. Only your own domain and hosting recur, paid directly to those providers.
