LANDSCAPING & GROUNDS CARE

Websites for landscapers, built for two very different customers.

Landscaping businesses usually sell two things at once: one-off design and construction jobs worth thousands, and ongoing maintenance worth a steady amount every month. Those buyers behave completely differently, and one generic page serves neither of them well.

Design-and-build versus maintenance

The person planning a new backyard is researching for weeks, wants to see finished projects, and cares about design taste and reliability. The person who needs their lawns cut fortnightly wants to know your price, your round, and whether you turn up. Same business, two different pages.

We normally split the site accordingly:

  • Design and construction. Project galleries, the stages of a build, rough investment ranges if you are willing to give them, and how the quoting process works.
  • Regular maintenance. What a visit includes, how often you attend, how billing works, and which areas your round covers.
  • One-off and seasonal work. Clean-ups, hedging, mulching, storm tidy-ups, end-of-lease and pre-sale tidies.

Seasonality, and using the site for it

Landscaping demand moves with the season, and your website should move with it too. Spring clean-ups, irrigation checks before summer, leaf clearance and pruning in autumn, storm damage after a bad week. These are predictable searches, and a page that exists before the season starts is the one that gets found during it.

We build the structure so these can be added and updated without needing a developer, and we will tell you plainly which ones are worth having for your area rather than adding pages for the sake of it.

Services we normally build pages for

  • Landscape design and full garden construction
  • Lawn mowing and regular garden maintenance
  • Turf laying and lawn renovation
  • Retaining walls, paving and decking, if you build them
  • Irrigation installation and repair
  • Hedging, pruning and tree work, within what you are qualified to do
  • Garden clean-ups, green waste removal and pre-sale tidies
  • Commercial grounds, strata and council work, if you take it

If part of your work needs a qualification, arborist work for example, we will only present it the way you are actually licensed to do it. We do not blur the line between hedging and tree removal.

What it costs

$497 once. No monthly fee from us, no retainer, no hosting bill from us. Domain and hosting are paid directly to your own providers and you own the files.

The site is built and sent to you as a working demo first. If it is not for you, you pay nothing.

Photos matter more here than almost anywhere

Gardens sell visually and seasonally. A first demo uses stock imagery, which is fine for judging the layout but wrong for launch. Before the site goes live we put your own project photos in, ideally shot in good light and including a couple of before-and-after pairs from builds you are proud of.

We also remove any placeholder figures from the demo, ratings, review counts, years in business, before launch. Those are not claims about your business and we will not publish them as if they were.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Landscaping website questions.

Something not covered here? Email us and we will answer it properly.

sarah@localsitehero.com
Can the site handle both maintenance rounds and big design jobs?

Yes, and it should treat them separately. They are different buyers with different questions, so one shared page tends to underserve both.

Should I publish my mowing prices?

It is your call. Publishing a starting price filters out the people who were never going to book, which most maintenance operators consider a win. We will build it either way.

Do you cover commercial grounds and strata work?

Yes. It usually deserves its own section, because the person awarding a strata contract wants insurance, scheduling and reliability rather than garden photos.

Can I add seasonal pages later?

Yes. The structure is built so seasonal pages can be added, and you own all the files, so you are never locked to us to make changes.

Is there any ongoing cost?

None from us. One payment of $497. Your domain and hosting are your own small recurring costs, paid to those providers directly.
